This sample meal plan gives you a sneak peek into a day of eating from my online nutrition bootcamp - if you’re reading this post, I’m sure you’ve tried other eating plans or diets along the way and perhaps you’re just looking for some fresh ideas. These recipes leave me full + satisfied AND help me reach my goals and I think you will love them, too!

Do you LOVE to eat, but aren’t sure exactly WHAT you should be eating? Do you struggle with thinking carbs are “bad”? have you tried figuring things out on your own, but feel frustrated, HUNGRY and confused? That’s exactly how I felt before counting macros - so take a look at a day of eating and you’ll be AMAZED at how tasty and simple it is!

A new way of looking at food groups

Instead of thinking about that old school food pyramid, let’s think about the PURPOSE of each food group.

  1. Fiber-filled carbs - carbs give you energy and on my nutrition program, you learn to eat your carbs appropriately. STOP thinking carbs are bad for you. Your body NEEDS them!

  2. Vegetables - vegetables get us full + satisfied, plus they are chock-full of vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Things our bodies need and probably are not getting enough of if you’re hitting the drive-thru or eating a typical American diet.

  3. Protein - lean proteins keep us full + satisfied so we aren’t tempted to snack between meals.

  4. Extras - these are the little extras that make our foods taste delicious. I mean who wants to chow down on boiled chicken, brown rice, and broccoli every meal? I certainly don’t. YUCK! If it doesn’t taste good, I’m not eating it and I’m a HUGE fan of spices and condiments to jazz things up.

Once you start looking at food differently and start counting macros - you’ll gain freedom from the diet mentality!

This oatmeal is amazing and of course, the kids will have it for breakfast, too - if you have not made oatmeal this way, you NEED to give it a try!

This lunch recipe is easier than take-out. Even if you don’t have the exact ingredients from Trader Joe’s you can easily find something similar at your regular grocery store.

Do you have a sweet tooth, too?! Gah - I LOVE ice cream and this Wonder Whip is soooo good, you will not believe it is healthy! These are my secret weapon for staying on track while satisfying my sweet tooth.

This is one of my favorite recipes of all time - if you love salmon, this is a keeper! I love to pair this with Trader Joe’s 3 minute frozen jasmine rice for a meal in just 15 minutes!
