Amanda’s Weight Loss Success Story

I’m so excited to share Amanda’s journey with you - her weight loss has been steady since February and while dramatic + fast weight loss might seem impressive, what is more impressive to me is Amanda’s dedication and consistency. She is creating sustainable habits and the scale has been consistently going down since February. It has been such an enjoyable experience for her, that she just keeps making new goals and hitting them! I have no doubt she will keep hitting her goals and most importantly maintain this healthy lifestyle for the long term.

Can you tell me about your story with health/wellness/weight loss? What have you tried in the past ?

I usually tried the latest fad diets and tried Weight Watchers at one point as well.  I also used a calorie counting app at one point as well.  I believed that if I wanted to lose weight I had to follow a strict plan and would always prepare myself to feel deprived and giving up when things didn't go perfectly.

How much weight have you lost with 2B Mindset and what prompted you to get started/commit?

I started 2B for the first time during the summer of 2020.  I lost about 10 lbs over 3 months but then gained it back last fall when I started a new job and taking care of my two boys.  I recommitted in February of this year and have lost over 20 lbs.

Why do you feel the 2B Mindset program has been the key to your weight loss success?

2B has completely changed my relationship with food.  I always assumed I had to follow a strict diet and swear off of certain foods in order to lose weight.  2B has helped me understand how to find balance with food and pay more attention to what my body needs rather than follow arbitrary rules.  One other key point is that this program is sustainable! I dreaded having to count calories for the rest of my life or completely eliminating certain foods forever.  With this program I have learned how to work with obstacles that pop up and I am always learning new ways to be successful through support groups and Ilana's videos.

What aspect of the bootcamp has been most important to your success?

The message thread has been huge! When I first did 2B I didn't have a support group and was going at it alone so when I started to fall off track in the fall, no one was there to keep me accountable.  Posting my tracker every night within our groups helps me remember what my goals are and keeps me going.  The troubleshooting that we do together as well as the recipe swaps have been a game-changer.

Which products do you feel have helped you be successful and why?

Shakeology and Bevvy! If I don't have Shakeology daily I can tell that I crave more sugary/junky foods and it makes it harder for me to make good choices.  Bevvy has been a great way for me to stave off afternoon junk cravings or even as an after dinner treat instead of the ice cream/candy the rest of the family is having.

If you had one piece of advice for someone getting started - what would it be?

Don't get overwhelmed and try to adjust your eating one step at a time.  And while you are doing that, make sure to use ALL the tools at your fingertips like your support groups and the Nutrition+ videos.  These tools are there to support you and help you overcome obstacles along the way.  It takes a little time and effort initially, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes easier and you'll see that you can stick with this for life.
