Insanely EASY Homemade Hummus

Insanely EASY Homemade Hummus

Ingredients

  • 1 can organic chickpeas, drained and liquid reserved
  • 1/4 cup chickpea liquid (from reserved liquid)
  • 1/4 cup organic tahini
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • juice of one large lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Optional Toppings/Seasonings
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon shaved red onion or shallot
  • 2 teaspoons hot pepper relish
  • 2 tablespoons minced marinated artichoke

Instructions

  1. Place chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, chickpea liquid, salt and pepper in food processor or blender. 
  2. Blend for 1 minute until smooth.
  3. Add more tahini or chickpea liquid 1 tablespoon at a time if you would like it thinner.
  4. Plate it and add optional toppings if desired.
