Instant Pot Perfect Hard Boiled Eggs

NEVER struggle with peeling your hard boiled eggs again! I’ve been using this method for over 3 years and they come out PERFECT every time - please note, I live in New England and when using a pressure cooker you need to adjust for sea level. It took me many fails, but once I found this method - I have never overcooked or undercooked my hard-boiled eggs. No standing over the stove worrying about boiling over, but don’t forget to set your timer according to the directions below.

You can use as many eggs as you want - the settings and timing will be exactly the same. i usually cook 6-12 eggs at once.

Ingredients:

6-12 fresh eggs

1 cup water

Instant Pot with steamer insert

Directions:

Pour 1 cup of water into instant pot

Place steamer basket inside instant pot

Carefully place eggs in steamer basket

Set Instant Pot on MANUAL for 2 minutes

After 2 minutes of pressure cooking, set your timer for 7 minutes leaving the eggs in the Instant Pot and allow to natural release.

While waiting the 7 minutes, prepare a large bowl with ice water.

After the 7 minutes are up, carefully remove Instant Pot lid according to pot directions, then use a large slotted spoon to carefully transfer eggs to ice water bath. Once all eggs are in ice bath, set timer for 5 minutes. Remove from bath and you have perfectly cooked eggs! I like to peel them immediately and have on hand for quick breakfasts + snacks. You can leave them unpeeled in refrigerator for up to 7-10 days.
